Irvin Lee Mauk

Irvin "Lee" Mauk, 68, Cottonwood, died Sept. 16.

He was born July 30, 1938, in Bellflower, Calif., the son of James Irvin Mauk and Charlotte Schoellermon Mauk.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army.

Mr. Mauk worked as a pipefitter, a welder and a truck driver.

His hobbies included collecting eagle statues and ties.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margaret Mauk; a son, Thomas Mauk of Olympia, Wash.; three daughters, Antoinette Stavee and husband Gerald of Olympia, Wash., Deanell Gregory of China and Mala Vancil of Cottonwood; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m., in the Emmanuel Fellowship.

Wilma M. Bishop

Wilma M. Bishop, 76, of Cottonwood, died Sept. 16.

She was born Dec. 24, 1929, in Sentinel, Okla., the daughter of William and Gladys Monday.

She was a graduate of City View and Granite Schools.

She was a loving wife and mother.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Bishop; two sons, Gary and Donald; a sister, Ouida Murray of Maricopa; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held Friday Sept. 22, 10 a.m., at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
