Mary M. Reinke 1913 - 2007
A long time resident of Lake Montezuma, Mary Margaret Reinke, died Aug. 25, 2007, at Kachina Point Health Care Center. She was 94.
Born April 23, 1913, in Huntington, W.Va., she began her career in the field of modeling with John Robert Powers and Patricia Stevens agencies. She later entered the field of radio, where she hosted talk shows for several years in Gallup, N.M., and Flagstaff. She was an active contributor to the Flagstaff community where she served as president of the Flagstaff Symphony Guild and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a lifetime member of Soroptomist International.
She was married to the late Arman Reinke.
Upon her retirement to Lake Montezuma, she continued to remain active in community affairs and in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where she managed the gift shop for many years.
She will be remembered for her zest for life and her love for animals.
Survivors include a son, Christopher; daughters, Mary Jo and Stephanie; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial mass for Mary will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Camp Verde. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Frances Cabrini gift shop. Bueler Funeral Home assisted the family.
