Letter: Thank you for a job well done
Several weeks ago Cottonwood celebrated its first ever Dog Appreciation Day at the temporary Dog Park in Old Town. Kudos to each and every one of the dedicated and hardworking folks who contributed toward making this event such a huge success. The Cottonwood Riverfront Dog Park Association (CRDPA) and it supporters are to be commended for a job well done.
CRDPA is funding the development of Cottonwood's new Dog Park (fencing, landscaping and irrigation) for the one-plus acres designed on 10th Street. No tax dollars will be used. The money raised at the Dog Appreciation Day event will be used for the development of this new park. Additionally, 300 pounds of dog and cat food were collected for distribution to our local Humane Society and various shelters.
None of this would have been possible, of course, without all those happy canines with attitude strutting their stuff. It has been rumored that the canine bride and groom have returned from their honeymoon and are now back enjoying their daily romps at the temporary Dog Park.
