Carl 'Brod' Norling

Carl Anton "Brod" Norling, 76, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 23, 2007. He was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., to Karl Anton Norling I and Victoria Gornick Norling. As a child, he attended the St. Catherine's Elementary.

Brod enjoyed fishing, watching football, and visiting with his family and friends. He was married to the late Vera Blaser Norling.

He leaves behind his daughter, Deborah Blake (Kenyon) of Scottsdale; his sisters, Maureen Greatorex (Dick) of Phoenix, and Mary Jean Porea (Del) of Michigan; and one grandchild.

Joe M. Stateham-Burgan

Joe Minyard Stateham-Burgan, 77, of Cottonwood, died Feb.19, 2007. He was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, to Dea and Rose Couch Burgan. He attended the University of Texas for four years where he received his BA. He was also in the Navy for four years.

Joe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Cottonwood.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Marilyn "Gigi" Stateham-Burgan of Cottonwood and two sons Mark Dea Burgan and Don Lee Burgan both of Tyler, Texas.

Charles F. Adams

Charles Frances Adams, 76, of Rimrock, died Feb. 25, 2007, in Cottonwood. He was born June 28, 1930, in Millville, N.J.

Charles was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a Sheriff's Deputy with Yavapai County law enforcement, from which he took his retirement in 1970.

He was a member of the Verde Valley Church of Christ, where a Memorial Service was held in his honor on Feb. 27.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years of marriage, Alice Marcum Adams.
