Lloyd Moore, 1926-2007

Lloyd Moore, 80, formerly of Camp Verde, died May 15, 2007. He was born Aug. 23, 1926, to Alma Mullikin and Homer Moore. As a teenager, he worked on the Dancer Dairy Farm in Jackson, Mich.

He joined the U.S. Navy and served as a firefighter in the crash crew. He lost his hearing when a bomb exploded while trying to rescue an aircraft pilot.

He married Delores Klimkowski in Dearborn, Mich., on May 5, 1951. They adopted two sons and moved to Camp Verde, where they lived for 35 years. Following a lengthy illness, they moved to Washington.

He is survived by his wife Delores; two sons; Gregary Allan Moore of Longview, Wash., and Michael Alexander Moore of Tooele, Utah. He had 12 grandchildren and one great-grand child.

Dahl McVickers Funeral Home, in Kelso, Wash., handled the arrangements. The service was May 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Third ward, in Longview, Wash.
