Frances 'Frankie' Knight

Frances "Frankie" Knight, 65, of Cottonwood, died March 11, 2007. She was born Nov. 18, 1941, to Joseph Edgar and Ida Lou (Carrol) Nixon in Junction, Texas, where she grew up and graduated from the local high school.

Frankie owned a craft shop, and volunteered her time as a craft teacher. She dedicated almost 10 years of her life as a Girl Scouts of America Leader, as well as, was a member of the Verde Valley Computer Club. Frankie was also a member of the Diabetic Society.

Frankie leaves behind her beloved husband of 47 years, Norman Knight, of Cottonwood; her son, Gary Knight (Laurie) of Aguanga, Calif.; her daughter, Lori Ann Knight of Whittier, Calif.; and her sister Vi Kirby of Yuba City, Calif.

A private family service will be held in her honor.

John S. Loewenstein

John Sidney Loewenstein, 62, a resident of Cottonwood who was born in Chicago Oct. 18, 1944, died March 10 2007.

A professional photographer, Loewenstein created images that seek out and reveal the inner beauty of the people and the land that he loved.

He is survived by his sister Debbie, and his brothers, Michael, Peter and Kyrill.

A funeral service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood March 16 at 2 p.m.

Burke E. Coyner

Burke Earl Coyner, 49, of Cottonwood, died in February 2007.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Alan Coyner, and Julia Marie Coyner, of Cottonwood; and his brothers, Bruce Coyner of Indiana and William Coyner of California.
