Mary Pendleton, 1922-2007

Mary Pendleton, 84, of Cornville, died April 10, 2007, in Sedona. She was born Nov. 3, 1922, in Indiana.

Mary was a well-known weaver and owner of the Pendleton shop in Sedona. She and her husband Fred moved to the area in 1953, opening the weaving shop in 1960.

Mary was the publisher of Looming Arts, on the board of directors of the Handweavers Guild of America, former president of the Soroptimists International of Sedona, member of the Verde Valley Weavers & Spinners Guild, an officer of the Verde Valley Horseshoe Pitchers Club, a volunteer at Rainbow Acres and founder of Pendleton Bowlers.

Survivors include her husband Arthur "Fred" Pendleton, of Cornville; her brothers Kenneth Reddick of Michigan and Ralph Reddick of Ohio; and her sister Marcele Noell of Kentucky.

There will be no services.
