Elaine Petty Shaw Parker 1924 - 2007

Elaine Petty Shaw Parker, 83, died Oct. 29 in Corona, Calif.

Born June 20, 1924, in Ogden, Utah, Elaine was one of three children born to William Orley and Virgel Petty Shaw. Robert Frank Shaw, deceased;  William Orley Shaw, Jr. (Lynnette), Centerville, Utah.

Elaine married Wallace Lock Parker on March 12, 1945 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1995.

Elaine and Wallace had five children. Judith (D. Larry) Gunnell, Riverside, Calif.; Wallace Lock, Jr. (Jolene) Parker, Spring,   Texas;  Pamela Kay (Henri H) Jensen, Menifee, Calif.;  Brent Thomas

Parker, deceased;  Deborah Lynn (Michael J.) Clonts, Cottonwood.

They have 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Elaine and Wallace lived in Ogden, Utah until they moved to  California in 1950.  They lived in California for 32 years while they raised their family.  In 1982, the moved to Sedona.  She was in Sedona

for 17 years and returned to California for the majority of her last eight years.

Elaine was a homemaker.  She loved music, dance, reading and  gardening.  She loved her family.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many years

working with the youth, especially in the dance programs where she  served as a Southern California Area Dance Director.

Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 295 N.  Main in Bountiful, Utah.

The funeral service was held at in Ogden, Utah Saturday.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Russon Brothers Mortuary.
