Floyd L. Garver 1919 - 2007

Floyd Leroy Garver, 88, of Cottonwood, died at home Nov. 14, 2007. He was born July 5, 1919, in Perry, Okla.

After attending Bible College for two years, he was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1944, after which he worked and retired as a clergyman. He lived and loved his position as a clergyman, studying the Bible and bringing many to Christ.

He leaves behind three daughters, Glenda Weaver (Raymond) of Chandler, Delores Staker of Cottonwood, and Linda Clark (Bobby) also of Cottonwood; two brothers, Charles Garver of Texas, and Neal Garver of Missouri; one sister, Mary Allbaugh of California; as well as, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be Jan. 19, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Cottonwood, where Floyd was proud to be a member.
