Rose Garneau 1909 - 2007

Rose Garneau, of Cottonwood, died Oct. 3, 2007, at the age of 98.

She was born April 6, 1909, to John and Rosa (Ueberbacher) Likosar, in Chicago, where she grew up, attended 12 years of Catholic schooling, and graduated high school from Immaculatta.

Prior to starting her family, Rose worked as an office assistant in the insurance/broker industry in the Chicago Loop.  

Rose and her husband, Stewart Garneau, shared 60 years of life's adventures and challenges in the Chicago, Prescott, and Corvallis, Ore.

She leaves behind her son, Norm Garneau (Marge) of Green Valley, Ariz.; her two daughters, Marcelline Michniak (Richard) of Darien, Ill., and Barbara Van Wye (Jack) of Clarkdale; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood Oct. 11, 11 a.m.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Stewart, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Corvallis, Ore., Oct. 13, 11 a.m.
