Mildred F. Radaker Fuszek of Kanab, Utah, and Ajo, Ariz., died on Feb. 21, 2008. Mrs Fuszek was 94 years old. Mrs. Fuszek was born in Dayton, Pa., to Charles and Edith (Leopold) Radaker.

After graduating from Dayton High School, she attended Indiana State Teachers College, now Indiana University, Indiana, Pa., and graduated in 1936 with a B.A. in Music and English.

She married Joseph Ernest Fuszek on April 23, 1938. Lt. Col. Fuszek preceded her in death. Mrs. Fuszek taught music and English at Elders Ridge High School 1937-1968, then taught at Apollo High School, Apollo, Pa., 1968-1973 when she retired and moved to Carlsbad, N.M., to be near her sisters.

Mrs. Fuszek's passion for music endured throughout her lifetime. She conducted the Spring Church Lutheran Church choir for many years and played piano, organ and gave solo performances for various churches throughout the Spring Church-Apollo area. She also accompanied for various musical groups. While in Carlsbad, N.M., she would help the "Up With People" group with their music.

Among Mrs. Fuszek's multiple talents were sewing, baking, cooking, canning, traveling and reading. She spent her life spoiling her family and spoiling first her own and later her daughters' English Springer Spaniels, Beagle and cats.

Mrs. Fuszek is survived by her sister, Helen Radaker Porter, Carlsbad, N.M., and her two daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Brown, Kanab, Utah, and Kathleen (Stephen) Hodgeson, Ajo, Ariz., and Moore, Mont. She is also survived by three grandsons and six great grandchildren.

At Mrs. Fuszek's request, there will be no memorial services.
