Record arrests from Yavapai Silent Witness
Yavapai Silent Witness in November agreed to award 10 cash rewards on nine criminal cases that led to the arrest of 18 felons. Those accused have now been charged with a total of 39 felonies. Police from PANT, YCSO Special Crimes Unit, Prescott Police, Prescott Valley PD NET and Cottonwood PD seized one firearm, a 2007 Mustang GT and $5,780.00 worth of illegal drugs. The 10 successful callers have been offered a total of $2,200 in cash rewards.
The total arrests from Silent Witness calls so far during 2008 now stand at 214-felons going to jail and Yavapai Silent Witness offering $22,700 in cash rewards. Those figures set an all time annual record with one month remaining in the year. Coordinator Steve Skurja says the efforts have another successful month for Yavapai Silent Witness and made Yavapai County a safer place to live.
