Christmas at the ranch

Dec. 19

Spend Christmas with Santa at the Ranch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Get your Christmas picture taken with Santa and his horsedeers. Horseback rides in the arena, and making Christmas ornaments are only part of the fun when Connections Ranch in Cornville opens for Christmas At The Ranch. The ranch is located at 11585 Purple Sage Road.

Steve Coury hosts Food Drive

Thru Dec. 15

Steve Coury Ford Lincoln Mercury, 5980 E. Coury Drive, Camp Verde, is giving back to the community by loading up the bed of a 2009 F150 with nonperishable goods donated by employees and customers. When the bed is full, the Ford dealership will donate the food to Central Arizona Food Bank with the goal of making several trips to the local food bank before the holidays. The F150 is located in front of the service desk at Steve Coury Ford Lincoln Mercury through Dec.15. Donations can be made anytime during business hours, 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Customers who make a donation will receive a 5 percent discount for service and parts at Steve Coury Ford Lincoln Mercury.

Litter awards to be presented

Dec. 18

The First Folksville Litter Awards Presentation will be 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. This no host lunch is open to anyone and will be at Randall’s Restaurant, 891 S. Main St., Cottonwood. The purpose of this event is to recognize the “Folks” who work within the ADOT Adopt-A-Highway (ADOT AAH) program to keep highways free of illegally dumped litter. Major Lingo hosts Circle of Friends Holiday Concert

The annual Circle Of Friends Holiday Concert is in the Mingus Union High School Auditorium, 1801 E. Fir St., Cottonwood. Doors open at 6 p.m. Members of Major Lingo & The Johnny Lingo Trio

along with a host of other great performers take to the stage at 7 p.m.

Teens’ Holiday Book & Stocking Stuffers sale

Thru Dec. 18

The Teen Advisory Board of the Cottonwood Library presents a Holiday Book and Stocking Stuffers Sale in the Kids Zone of the Cottonwood Library.

You will find new and used books, toys, stocking stuffers and more on sale at bargain prices. Your dollars will be used by the Teen Advisory Board to update and improve the library’s teen series collection.

Divorce Blues and the Holidays

The first real holiday without a spouse is really difficult. For some people, this is the first holiday without their children too. Being alone is difficult when you are not use to it. Relationship coach, mediator and author of “Transcending Divorce,” Lori Rubenstein knows all about this. She has been there too. She is presenting a class/support group that you can take from your own home. At 5:30 p.m., you can call into a conference call line and get the support you need if you are going through a divorce or another hard transition during the holiday season. This class is free of charge.

Christmas Open House with Vyktoria

Beaver Creek Books and Artisans Gallery of Camp Verde is having a Christmas Open House to celebrate their one year together. Vyktoria Pratt Keating perform Christmas and yuletide music with her signature Celtic flair.
