Come celebrate the arrival of true summer within the cool atrium of our art galleries in Old Town.
Saturday, June 13, mosey on out and see new art on display at Wind Dancer, Bear's Earth Gallery, KC Fine Art Gallery, Papillon Too for antiques, and photography at the F-Stop, to name some.
Old Town Center for the Arts has arranged a Music in the Garden performance that is free.
The Arizona Dunun Ensemble plays from noon to 4 p.m.
"Music in the Garden" will be at the Green Garden Café, right next to Old Town Center for the Arts, at Fifth Street and Main, in Old Town Cottonwood.
Arizona Dunun Ensemble is a musical group based in Cornville, Arizona, specializing in West African drumming. The Ensemble is dedicated to learning traditional rhythms and songs that accompany the Djembe, or "Jebe Bara," which means Drum of Unity. They strive to share this music with others as accurately and as skillfully as possible and have a lot of fun making a big, joyful noise in the process.
Other Art Walk musical venues often include Crema and Bear's Earth Gallery. Enjoy wine, cheese, new art and the warmth of community. Most galleries stay open until 8 p.m. on these special Second Saturdays. To participate as an artist or as performing artist, please call Lisa Pender, OTA President at (928) 639-0676.
