Paul C. Haynie 1936 - 2009
Paul C. Haynie, 73, of Cottonwood died June 23. He was born June 13, 1936 in Shelton, Nebraska, the son of Douglas and Neva Haynie.
A graduate of Colorado University, he served his country as a Quartermaster in the Navy.
Mr. Haynie was a commercial pilot working Continental Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
He was a member of Verde Baptist Church. He played trombone at the church also with the Cottonwood Community Band.
An adventurous man who loved life, his passion were flying and sailing. He will be remembered as a loving husband and proud of his sons, Scott and Doug. He loved his grandchildren, his in-laws especially his brother and sisters in law.
Mr. Haynie leaves his wife Lisa; two sons, Doug and Scott Haynie, sisters, Nancy Houghton and Karen Hopes; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 27 in the Verde Baptist Church at 10 AM.
