"Latino Cine Forum" series at Sedona Public Library

Latino Cine Forum will present Pan's Labyrinth, a contemporary Spanish movie written and directed by Spanish filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. This movie is a fantasy-thriller that tells the story of Ofelia, a young girl immersed in the horrors of 1944 Spain's Civil War. She creates her own magical world in a garden maze with fairies, an old fawn, and monsters. It won three Oscars in 2006: Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Makeup (Spanish w/ subtitles, 120 min, Rated R).
The film is show at 5 p.m. in the Si Birch Room. Admittance is free.
The objective of presenting this Hispanic film series is to reach out to Sedona residents of all backgrounds interested in learning about the cultural diversity of the Hispanic world, and its impact in the United States' cultural milieu.
