Rimrock man charged with assaulting girlfriend and his brother
RIMROCK - Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies were called to a family fight at a residence in the 3800 block of Airport Drive in Rimrock Saturday night. When they arrived, they found 48-year-old Ronald Olivier hiding in bushes behind the house. He was detained, interviewed and allegedly admitted arguing with his 43-year-old girlfriend. He also admitted pushing the woman to the ground from behind. Olivier had been drinking alcohol most of the day, according to the report.
Deputies spoke with Olivier's 47-year-old brother, who witnessed the assault and saw the victim fall. According to his statement, she was having a difficult time regaining her stance when the brother attempted to intervene by pulling Olivier away. Olivier became angry and turned his rage toward his brother. As the fight continued between the brothers, neighbors came to assist and were able to calm down Olivier.
Olivier's brother and neighbors then escorted the victim to another home until YCSO and EMS personnel arrived. Olivier was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct per domestic violence and assault per domestic violence.
EMS personnel treated the victim at the scene and she was transported to the Verde Valley Medical Center suffering an irregular heart rate. Olivier's brother was not injured.
