Family and friends will gather Sunday for a memorial and celebration of life in honor of Craig Robert Warner of Cottonwood, who passed away March 27.

The celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the downtown park in Jerome.

Craig Warner was born March 13, 1946. in Berwyn, Ill. He was the son of Jack and Adeline Warner.

He graduated from Scottsdale High School 1964.

Craig worked many years as a carpenter and was proficient in crafting jewelry in silver and semi-precious gemstones, mostly turquoise. For the past several years, Craig worked at Wal-Mart. Friends also say Craig was a talented mechanic, specializing in older Volkswagens.

He was born into a musical family and he once loved playing the drums.

Craig lived and worked in Durango, Colo., for about 8 years.

A friend from high school days remembers Craig as “sooo good-looking, but also kind. You don’t often find those together in a person.”

Craig is survived by his daughter, Elena C. Warner of Payson, and four sisters: (Ginger) Kathleen Phoebe Pfeiffer of Mission Viejo, Calif.; Ellen Bush of John Day, Ore.; Linda Hanf McIntosh of Shingle Springs, Calif.; and Martha Matak of Cave Creek, Ariz. Craig also had many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the Western states, and many friends.
