Verde eagles fail to breed for third year

Courtesy Arizona Game and fish

For the third year in a row, neither the Towers breeding site upstream on the Verde from Clarkdale or the Ladders site 10 miles south of Camp Verde produced any young eagles. Two eggs laid at the Ladders nest hatched but die shortly thereafter. The eggs at Towers never hatched. A wet winter is being blamed for both failures.
