Neighborhood Pride awards given at Cottonwood Ranch
Three homeowners were recognized at the Cottonwood Ranch recent Board meeting for their outstanding properties.
Selected by the Neighborhood Pride Committee, the first place award for fall, 2010 went to Reuben & Linda Rodriguez, 2255 W. Roper Lane.
They received a plaque from the Ranch Board and a gift card will be donated by Home Depot as part of their Foundation's investment in communities. The Home Depot supports 501 C (3) non-profit organizations doing meaningful work in neighborhoods across North America.
Receiving Honorable Mention for the fall quarter were Galen & Andrea Thomas, 2045 W. Desert Willow Drive and John & Geraldine Perry, 290 S. Desperado Drive.
A search on the Internet reveals numerous communities in Arizona, as well as other states, have begun similar neighborhood beautification and/or enhancement projects.
Encouraging homeowners to keep up with outside maintenance increases property value and improves entire neighborhoods within the community.
The Neighborhood Pride program was implemented by the Ranch Board in 2009 to recognize and reward homeowners who have maintained a high standard for their property. This includes outstanding landscaping, neat appearance and excellent curb appeal.
Nominations by Ranch neighbors, as well as the committee, will be reviewed in January for the winter quarter. Nominations are due by Jan. 10.
