Clarkdale council to discuss CDBG projects
CLARKDALE - The Town Council will meet in regular session Tuesday at 6 p.m. The primary agenda item calls for discussion on the proposed projects for grant money from the Community Development Block Grant of the Northern Arizona Council of Governments.
The council held a public hearing Dec. 8 on this matter. At that time staff and members of the public made recommendations for projects that could be funded through the CDBG grant. A second public hearing is scheduled for the Feb. 23 special meeting of the council. Council will then make a decision on which project or projects to forward to NACOG.
Tuesday night, staff will review the proposed projects with council to set priorities to those project previously submitted.
CDBG grants can be used only to benefit low-income persons and areas, to alleviate slum and blight conditions, or to address an urgent need.
The council meets in the Men's Lounge of the Clark Memorial Clubhouse at 19 N. Ninth St.
