The Center for Spiritual Living Sedona proudly presents a very special evening of music and celebration on Good Friday with the presentation of "The Power of Life" concert.

This concert features Sedona's popular entertainers Tom & Shondra accompanied by Sedona favorite Steve Sandner on piano and joined by nine other talented singers and actors. The concert will be presented as a fundraiser for both the Center and Canyon Moon Theatre on Good Friday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m.

This is a great way for the community to support their professional regional theatre as well as CSL Sedona while enjoying a concert full of talented individuals.

Tom & Shondra brought this concert to Sedona in 2003 performing at Unity of Sedona, where it became an annual event. Prior to that, Tom & Shondra's brought their powerful vocals and dramatic performances to the "Power of Life" Concert in southern California for over 15 years. After Shondra was hired as the Music Director for the Center for Spiritual Living in Flagstaff over three years ago, they also performed this program there.

Shondra explained, "We're excited to bring this concert back to Sedona as it's been three years since we've performed here. This concert is non-religious but rather inspirational which allows this show to appeal to a wide audience and I think that's one of the reasons why this program has always been so successful." Tom agreed, "Between the variety of music & monologues, this program will take you on a ride of emotions. It's a wonderful way of celebrating the life of Jesus."

The combination of soaring vocals and exceptional performances bring the audience a profound understanding of Christ's love for humanity. It exemplifies the truth that light conquers and vanquishes darkness and depicts Christ's triumph over death. The show consists of musical selections from Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell interspersed with acting monologues performed in a reader's theatre format from Kahlil Gibran's book, "Jesus The Son Of Man." You'll hear from Biblical characters such as Mary Magdalene, Peter, Pontius Pilate and Barabas portrayed by a talented group CSL Sedona actors. CSL Sedona performers include Steve Bernard, Letha Cooke, Caitlin Kingsley, Rev. Janet Kingsley, Guy Lamunyon, Mike Mieske, Toni Munoz and Diane Pimentel.

Mary Guaraldi, Artist Director of Canyon Moon added, "I remember attending this concert several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We're pleased to have this concert performed at CMT and hoping to pack the house as this show is a benefit for the theatre and CSL Sedona.
