Letter: Experiences like these make our jobs rewarding

Editor:

Central Arizona Food Bank was the recipient of 4,340 pounds of food collected by the postal staff in this area. What a monumental job this was not only by the postal personnel, but also some of their families and our own volunteers got involved.

This food donated by the community is very important to us. First of all, the variety of foods received and most gratifying is the way the bags arrived.

Most of the food was carefully put together in bags or boxes that came straight from the grocery stores with items so appropriate for families in mind such as peanut butter, tuna, cereals, (that kids like), small jellies, macaroni & cheese, a variety of soups, etc.

Thanks again to all who participated. A special big thank you to the postal personnel for their dedication and planning in brining this all together.

Experiences like these make our jobs as volunteers so rewarding.
