Posh Poodle comes to Castle Rock Plaza
My penchants for pampering and self-indulgence make me a perfect candidate to be reincarnated as a poodle, and if I make the grade, I know exactly where I'll shop.
The Posh Poodle in Castle Rock Plaza offers a substantial selection of high quality products designed to please the most discriminating pooch.
Nevertheless, owner Heyde Class' primary focus is the safety and health of her canine clients. All of her products reflect that genuine concern.
Hailing from Oklahoma, Heyde earned her bachelor's degree in Communications from Oklahoma State University in 1982 specializing in sales and management.
Her business skills eventually won her a position in a large retail import corporation working at locations throughout the Midwest and managing a site in San Antonio.
In 1992, Heyde got her first dog, and her love for animals blossomed. Seven years later she visited a Kansas City dog treat bakery and realized this was her calling. She began by creating and marketing her own line of preservative and additive free dog treats from her home.
The local pooch population evidently liked it because she had to expand her business twice to larger locations.
With the addition of other eco-friendly and safe dog products, Heyde's business boomed.
But there was another calling.
Ever since her first visit to Sedona in 1995, Heyde desired to make this place her home. She finally made the move and opened her Posh Poodle boutique in December 2009.
The shop offers a unique variety of healthy dog products including treats, shampoos, blankets, toys, clothing and more. All items are personally selected by Heyde to appeal to dogs while contributing to their wellbeing.
To say she's picky about her inventory would be a monumental understatement. If there's an ingredient present a dog treat that would not be good for you, she won't provide it for your dog.
I personally endorse one of her doggie shampoos for dry skin. I'm using it on my hair, and it's better than my human stuff; so "woof."
Heyde is also a certified animal communicator. She knows your dog, and she is definitely worth knowing.
Stop by the Posh Poodle and meet Heyde and her canine assistant managers, Baby and Leo. You'll enjoy the experience.
