Jerome 'Dumps the Drugs'
Jerome citizens braved winter storm conditions on Saturday morning to stop by the Jerome Volunteer Fire Station to participate in "Dump the Drugs." "Dump the Drugs" gives community members a chance to safely dispose of unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medication. The Town of Jerome, Jerome Fire Department, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office and MATForce sponsored the event, which aims to keep potentially dangerous drugs out of the hands of teens, and out of our water supply. Jerome Police Chief Alan Muma, Deputy Town Clerk Rosemarie Shemaitis and Fire Chief Rusty Blair stand ready to receive unwanted drugs and medications on Saturday morning.
