Project Nim: SIFF hosts documentary on the long-term impact of 'humanizing' chimpanzee

The Sedona International Film Festival presents Project Nim — the critically-acclaimed new documentary by the director and producer of the Academy Award-winning Man on Wire — on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Nim is the chimpanzee who in the 1970s became the focus of a landmark experiment which aimed to show that an ape could learn to communicate with language if raised and nurtured like a human child. There will be two screenings of the film at 4 and 7 p.m. at Harkins Sedona Six Theatres.
