Jones, McFarlane nominated for Appeals Court
PHOENIX -- The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments has recommended three nominees to Governor Jan Brewer to fill an Appeals Court vacancy. Two of the nominees are from Yavapai County.
The vacancy was created in Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals created by the retirement of Judge Sheldon Weisberg.
The nominees include:
Andrew W. Gould, Republican, Presiding Judge of the Yuma County Superior Court.
Kenton D. Jones, Republican, a Yavapai Superior Judge in the Yavapai County Superior Court.
Elizabeth A. McFarland, Democrat, and sole practitioner in the Law Firm of Elizabeth A. McFarland of the Village of Oak Creek.
Governor Brewer will appoint the new judge.
