Jerome Council to discuss CDBG funding
The Jerome Town Council will meet in regular session Tuesday at 7 p.m. to discuss, among other items, the 2012 Community Development Block Grant funding. The council will set a public hearing date for citizens to discuss and set priorities for possible projects under the grant.
The council also will discuss a recommendation by the town's auditors to deposit some of the town' funds in a second bank in order to assure that accounts are fully insured and that the town is in compliance with state law.
The council will review a proposal by National Bank of Arizona to provide banking services to the town. In addition, the council will decide whether to solicit additional proposals from other banks before proceeding.
