Francis Marion Fuqua II, 72, of Anthem, Arizona, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2011.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Dalene “Dutch,” his sister Betty Jean, and his parents Francis Marion and Elise Elizabeth.

Frank was born July 1, 1938 in Safford, Arizona, and grew up in the Verde Valley. After graduating from Cottonwood High School, Frank started the first of three careers, when he joined the Navy where he served proudly for 10 years.

His second career was with the Phoenix Police Department where he rose through the ranks to detective.

His third career move was into the construction business, owning his own firm until semi-retirement in 2008.

Frank had a large and loving family and enjoyed spending time with them. Frank was an avid hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips with his brothers and sons.

Grandchildren were a special blessing in Frank’s life and he adored them all.

Frank is survived by two siblings, Robert “Bob” and Ivan “Rusty”, seven children: Dale, Sharron, Sandra, Gary, Susan, Tre, (F.M the III), and Eric as well as fourteen grandchildren: Scott, Jamie, Nicole, Melissa, Donna, Rene, Ryan, Mikayla, Jake, Luke, Ty, Rebecca, Frankie (F.M. the IV) and Lilly, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and other family members who loved him very much.

Frank’s sudden departure is a shock to us all. His memory will live on in his large and loving family and we will miss him terribly. Remember his smile and the twinkle in his eyes as we salute a life well lived and loved.

Services were held July 1, 2011 in Anthem, Arizona.
