... it will be nose off the grindstone( I did cut a lot of nice opal though) and back into the air and once again capturing sights like this late afternoon shot I got in January. I was about fifteen miles SW of Sedona and looking back to the NE at about nine thousand feet when I took this shot. The late afternoon light casts beautiful shadows on the rolling landscape beneath the red cliffs which mark the southerly end of the Colorado Plateau. In the upper right corner of the photo you can see the southerly part of Long Canyon which is west of Sedona; Sycamore canyon is to the left and out of sight in this photo.
