MUHS summer food program kickoff Monday

Free pizza on June 6 will help kick off the Mingus Union High School's free summer lunch program. The free lunch program will be served at three locations in Cottonwood and Camp Verde beginning Monday and running through July 22.

The Cottonwood times and locations are MUHS Cafeteria at 1801 E. Fir St, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, and the Central Arizona Food Bank at 654 N. Main St. Monday through Friday from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

In Camp Verde the free lunch program will be held at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene at 644 S. Seventh St. Monday through Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

All three locations will participate in the free pizza kickoff.

The Summer Food Service Program is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It is open and free to any child under age 18, with no income requirements or registration. Each summer the U.S. Department of Agriculture joins forces with local organizations to provide free meals to children while school is out for the summer.
