Walk In Family Medical Center opens on Cove Parkway
Nancy Pierce F.N.P. seeing patients age 10 and over
COTTONWOOD – Northern Arizona Medical Care has recently opened the Walk In Family Medical Center at 813 Cove Parkway, Suite 101, in Cottonwood. Dr. Hojat Askari is the owner, and Jeff Locke is the business manager. Christy Ann Baker is front office manager.
Nancy Pierce, family nurse practitioner, is seeing patients from age 10 and up. She came to the Verde Valley in 2002 when Verde Valley Medical Center recruited her from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. as the clinical coordinator for the cardiac cath lab.
“After graduation from nurse practitioner school, I had the privilege of joining Cottonwood Internal Medicine,” Pierce said. She was there for almost six years. Pierce believes that Cottonwood is a good fit for her.
“I was looking for a small town to raise my children,” she said.
The practice will serve the entire Verde Valley for family medical needs. “I’m building my business through providing caring medical care,” she said.
The practice accepts most insurances, including AHCCCS and Medicare. For patients without insurance, Pierce offers low flat rates.
Pierce said the mission statement of her practice is, “As a family nurse practitioner, my mission is to provide the highest quality of care to my patients in an individualized, culturally sensitive and caring manner.”
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. After-hour and weekend appointments are available upon request.
