Keeps on coming

Today was devoted primarily to the law, but around 3:30 Corky and I decided we had to get out of here for a while. So it was into the Van and down to the ponds through some very heavy rain. I was talking with a friend as I parked in the small lot they have there when I saw a Bald Eagle fly by towards the restaurant to the NE. I quickly excused myself from the conversation, grabbed the camera and headed towards the ponds. As I got up to the nearest pond, heavy rain came down and the eagle came back towards me and shelter. I waited until I got all the shots I could get and then headed back to the van pretty well soaked and dried out a bit as I waited for the rain to quit. Once it did quit it was back out to search for the eagle and about a near the back ponds I got this shot of him as he searched for prey.

More shots of herons and other critters and then a visit with friends on the way home. A very good day for us and hope for you too.

Cheers

Ted
