Trio of Cottonwood Ranch properties earn Neighborhood Pride awards
Three homeowners were recognized at the September meeting of the Cottonwood Ranch Board for their outstanding properties.
Selected by the Neighborhood Pride Committee, the first place award for summer 2011 went to Paul & Linda Fraser, 2020 W. Trail Blazer.
They received a plaque from the Ranch Board and their names will be included in the permanent plaque located in the Clubhouse. Paul & Linda moved to Cottonwood in 1999 from Connecticut.
They enjoy the beautiful Mingus Mountains and walking their dogs on the meandering walkways within the Ranch.
Receiving Honorable Mention for the summer quarter were Dave & Sue Cole, 2135 W. Desert Willow, and Dawn Gonzales, 2215 W. Trail Blazer.
They each received a framed certificate and photographs of their homes are on display at the Clubhouse.
Dave & Sue moved to Cottonwood permanently in 2008 from Minnesota, after building their home in 2000.
They scouted various other cities, including Tucson and Sedona before deciding on this area.
The size and variety of the community was the deciding factor.
Dawn moved here in 2001 at the encouragement of her mother who already resided at Cottonwood Ranch. Dawn and her two sons, Myles and Emmett, are active members in the Ranch community.
In 2009, The Cottonwood Ranch Board of Directors implemented the Neighborhood Pride Program as a means to recognize and reward homeowners who have maintained a high standard for their property.
This includes outstanding landscaping, neat appearance and excellent curb appeal. The Board recognized the value in keeping properties in excellent condition.
Nominations by Ranch neighbors, as well as the committee, will be reviewed in October for the fall quarter.
Nominations are due by Oct. 12.
