Cottonwood council to consider liquor permits
The Cottonwood City Council will be asked to approve three liquor licenses during the Tuesday council meeting.
Dons Smoke Shop has an existing license for the sale of beer and wine. The operation's owner, Robert Donahue, is now asking for the council to approve a sampling privilege license to offer beer and wine sample tastings.
Joshua Bartosh, representing the Old Town Association is requesting a special event liquor license to operate a beer garden as part of the Salsa Festival in Old Town April 28th.
The Verde Valley Fair is also asking for a special event liquor license for the duration of the Verde Valley Fair to be held this year May 3 through 6th.
In separate business, the council will be asked to authorize the submission of a grant proposal to the Governor's Office of Highway Safety for the funding for a DUI Task Force Details and Underage Drinking Enforcement overtime.
The council meets in chambers at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.
