Cottonwood police on the run for Special Olympics

Cottonwood Police Officers carried the Special Olympics torch from the beginning of State Route 260 in Cottonwood for 13 miles to the I-17 business district in Camp Verde on Wednesday, April 25, as part of the annual Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Officers were handed the torch from representatives of the Sedona Police Department and participants in the Special Olympics program. The mission of the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run is to raise funds for, and awareness of Special Olympics statewide. VVN/Jon Pelletier
