Kathryn “Clydene” Seal, 72, of Cottonwood, passed away on July 4, 2012.

Born on August 9, 1939, Kathryn was known as Clydene to her family and close friends. She spent her childhood in Wichita, Kansas, with her parents, Clyde and Marie Ward, and her three sisters. She relocated to Arizona with her husband where she raised three daughters.

She loved children. While living in Mesa, she worked with special needs students as well as teaching Indian students the cultural crafts of their heritage. She was artistic, creative, and loved all types of music.

Clydene had lived in Cottonwood since 1996 where she enjoyed meeting new people, loved playing BINGO, and spent time spoiling her three dogs and fishing at Woods Canyon Lake.

Clydene was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and her oldest daughter.

She is survived by her spouse, Daniel Seal of Cottonwood, two daughters, Sharon Ruster of Coopersville, MI, and Susan Lindsey of Safford, AZ, sister, Rita Olsen-OOsterwijk of Escondido, CA, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
