Moving out
... with elegance. I got this shot of a Blue Heron in flight yesterday whilst handholding the "Behemoth" . One thing I find to be consistent with all of the shots I have of creatures in flight is the intensity and purpose which is evident in every shot whether Heron or Mallard. You do not get the same sense of intensity or action with video that you get with stills ... that doesn't impart the meaning I want ... make it the freeze frame where time is stopped and we can observe the symmetry and raw power that goes into flight. I think that is what has always drawn me to wildlife photography and to the use of single image as opposed to live video ... Can't wait, the new EOS 1D-X arrives Friday ... fourteen frames per second .
It has been a long, but good day and sure hope yours was too. Be well and lend a hand to someone today ... never hurts.
Cheers
Ted
