Yavapai County Supervisor Chip Davis has selected Lovey Warner as the February recipient of the county's "Unsung Hero" award.

Lovey has volunteered at Mingus Union High School for 10 years and is 94 years young.

She volunteers about 15 hours of each week in the bookstore.

Although she does many odd jobs in the school's bookstore, mostly she makes copies for the teachers, 30,000 to 35,000 copies a week.

Lovey says volunteering at Mingus gets her out of the house and that she loves being around the children.

Lovey says the key to staying young is to never stop working.

Susan Knight with Mingus Union High School says, "There aren't many people around like Lovey. She is definitely one of a kind! She is cheerful, kind, hard-working, loving, sweet, efficient, and always has a smile on her face."
