Letter: Mrs. O will be in our hearts forever
Editor:
The Verde Valley has lost a part of its character. Adele Osborn, Mrs. O to many, has gone to be with her lifetime love, Jim.
When we moved to Cottonwood in mid-December 2004, we had hardly got settled when this little lady, with a most unique cane, rang our bell, welcomed us to the neighborhood, and invited us to join her and her family for their traditional Christmas breakfast. She took us into her home and her heart, and we did the same for her. She met our family and friends from out-of-town, and became a part of our extended family. We shared the view of this beautiful valley on many evenings over a glass of wine or a toddy.
Adele often related vignettes from her past, growing up near Yuma, meeting and marrying her husband, Jim, in San Diego, their travels and travails, and, most of all, she loved to brag about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Adele Osborn inspired us to get involved in, and become part of the community. We have been blessed for having known her, and she will be in our hearts forever.
Our love and prayers go out to her family.
God-speed Adele, with our love,
Ron & Bev Luce
