Civil rights lawsuit filed against governor over driver's license decision

Nicholas Espiritu, an attorney with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, explains a lawsuit filed Thursday challenging the order issued by Gov. Jan Brewer denying state driver licenses to thousands of illegal immigrants who qualify for the federal ``deferred action' program which allows them to remain legally and work in this country. The American Civil Liberties Union, headed in Arizona by Alessandra Soler, left, also is part of the lawsuit. (Capitol Media Services photo by Howard Fischer)
