Weavers and Spinners Guild Demo - 4/22, 11 am: Members of the Verde Valley Weavers and Spinners Guild will have their spinning wheels humming for Mondays at the Museum.  The guild today has 40 to 50 members actively pursuing Fiber Arts such as weaving, spinning, basket-making, dyeing and knitting. Guided Nature Walks and Activities - Daily, 10 am & 2 pm: In the morning, join a naturalist-led guided nature walk to learn about the riparian ecosystem of Oak Creek, including plants, wildlife, geology, history, and archaeology. Ram Fest - 4/19, 6 pm: Each year millions of Hindus in India and many westerners all over the world, celebrate the advent day of this Avatar with wonderful festivities. There will be chants and kirtan, Indian music, narrations of some of the pastimes of Sri Rama, an abhiseka, and a delicious vegetarian feast served to all. April Diabetes Support Group - 4/22, 5 pm: The meeting will feature certified diabetes educators Mary May, R.N., and Sue Simbric, R.N. Moonlight Hike - 4/25, Sunset: led by a naturalist, giving hikers a rare opportunity to enjoy the sunset and moonrise from an overlook and return by the light of the moon.  Wear suitable clothing and shoes; bring water, a flashlight and insect spray.  Reservations required.
