a sense

... of forever, of undefined space and the quietude of the ages silently shaping our present and future ... change is ever at work with shifting plates lifting the surface here and dropping it there, grains of sand slipping away and changing the contour of the volcanic cones. The weather turning cooler as the planet wobbles and this part of the planet cools down and leaves turn color and soon snow will cover the land. The scene changes daily whether we see it or not as little by little our planet evolves into whatever it will become and lest we can freeze each grain of sand in place, all will change. Mankind is in no danger of saving much less destroying the planet.

I took this shot last fall and the lower right quadrant shows the aspen displaying fall colors on the northwest slope of the San Francisco Peaks and the overall view is looking to the NNE across the volcanic fields north of Flagstaff. The Painted Desert is below the horizon on the right and the angle of the late afternoon sun can be seen in the clouds. It was a beautiful sight.

The week continues, life is good and we are blessed.

Be well and share a memory and a smile or two or three with someone today.

Cheers,

Ted
