Be part of Creator Faire at Fort Verde Days
Camp Verde Community Library (CVCL), Camp Verde Library Endowment (CVLE) and Camp Verde Promotions (CVP) are teaming up to host a Creator Faire at Fort Verde Days in October 2013. The Creator Faire was inspired by Maker Faire, an organization that promotes living examples of the creative process in action hosting events across the globe. You can catch a glimpse of these amazing producers at work at http://makerfaire.com.
A creator is someone who brings something into existence. That something can be a work of art whether it be visual, audible or a performance; ideas, such as those our community benefits from at the library, mostly in the form of books; a new invention; or simply something to be enjoyed, used or consumed. Fort Verde Days Creator Fair will showcase the agricultural, artistic, industrious and inventive natures of Camp Verde's own - like a community show and tell - and showing and telling others who are interested.
So far participants are planning a wide variety of interactive exhibitions from beer brewers to crafters and quilters, from model car painters to high-tech performers.
If you see yourself sharing your own unique talent or technique with an appreciative audience, spaces are still available in the town gym and on the grounds around the Gazebo. There is no charge to participate so don't delay.
For more information about Camp Verde's first Creator Faire and how to showcase the creator in you, contact the Camp Verde Community Library at (928) 554-8380 or email Kathy.Hellman@campverde.az.gov.
