Obituary: Geraldine Robles Gutierrez

Geraldine Robles Gutierrez born in Jerome, Arizona, on September 7, 1923; and passed after a three year illness on December 11, 2013.  Viewing and Rosary will be on December 17, at 5 to 7 pm at Westcott Funeral home, and funeral services on December 18, at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Geraldine was the fourth born of six children to Aurelianio and Mercedes Flores Robles. Geraldine is survived by a Daughter, Geraldine Enriquez, and a Son, Ron Gutierrez six grandchildren Gilbert, Genevieve, Tim, Theresa, Michelle and Robert, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

We were blessed to have her as our mother and are proud of her accomplishments, her direction, and values that she instilled in all.

Geraldine operated the Jerome Café during the mid 60's and early 70's. She worked at several restaurants in the Verde Valley including The Black Hills, Amigos, and Su Casa restaurants until 2005 when she retired at the wonderful age of 82.   

She lived in Jerome until 1977 at which time she moved to Cottonwood and lived there until her passing. Geraldine's pleasures were working, cooking, and having her family close to her.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, at Westcott Funeral Home from 5-7 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
