Christian Oliva del Rio accepted into Western Association of Chamber Executives training program
Christian Oliva del Rio, office manager at the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, was among the 42 chamber executives accepted to Academy, a professional development program presented by the Western Association of Chamber Executives.
Academy is an interactive three-year training program on chamber management essentials designed for today's chamber executives and staff professionals.
"We are pleased to announce that Christian is one of 20 chamber executives and staff professional members who have received a scholarship to Academy. This year's scholarship recipients were selected from a list of 55 applicants. We also want to thank our Chamber board for having the vision to invest in our professional development," said President/CEO Lana Tolleson.
During the three-year Academy program, attendees will participate in 18 three-hour classes and must complete additional independent study outside of the classroom.
W.A.C.E is an association of Chamber of Commerce executives and staff professionals designed to promote and enhance professional development.
With approximately 800 members from 14 Western states, W.A.C.E. is the largest state or regional association of Chamber of Commerce executives in the United States.
