Apologies
...go out to the families of those unfortunate individuals who were driving on 89A at the moment I took this shot of the Sedona Wetlands...I removed your offending vehicles from the image, but presume that you are all still in good health; if not it was for a good cause and a better image resulted from your removal. Ditto to the Arizona Highways Dept., I removed the highway too. On the bright side, were it not for so many people living in Sedona that a waste water treatment plant was needed and a number of environmental activists we would not have this delightful area to enjoy.
The view is to the east north east from the west side of one of the six ponds in the wetlands area. The Village of Oak Creek where we live is to the right of the red rock formation. It was an absolutely beautiful day with high winds and cool temperatures. Thousands of swallows were swirling around the area and you can see quite a few of them in this photo. I left the long glass at home as my intent was to shoot abstracts, patterns and a few landscape shots. Would have been fun to have it though as with the strong winds they were near motionless as they tried to penetrate into the wind. Still, glad for the shots I did get.
Have a terrific day...we are immersed in beauty and granted the time to embrace it each moment we are here.
Cheers
Ted
