Yavapai County Sheriff's Dept. officers are advising motorists that Cornville Road will reopen at 1:15 p.m.. It has been closed between Page Springs Road and Beaverhead Flat Road since early this morning.

Yavapai Sheriff's Spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said a medium-sized gold four-door passenger car in the east bound lane collided head on with a Cable One utility truck headed west. The accident occurred at Cornville Road and Doraine Lane.

The car carried a father and his two 10-year-old twin children. Two medical helicopters and ambulances were needed for the victims. The father was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center trauma unit with head injuries.

One of the children was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital while the second was taken to Verde Valley Medical Center along with the Cable One driver.

The accident ended up off the roadway, but the county road was closed to allow a landing zone for the helicopters.
