Letter: What was that Peace Prize for again?

Editor:

My fellow Americans, Nobel Peace Prize winner President Barack Hussein Obama is about to initiate a war with Syria.

He is allegedly basing this upon rather sketchy INTEL [originally from Israel] that President Assad of Syria used chemical weapons on the Syrian people [according to Secretary of State John Kerry, precisely 1,429 people].

There is no mention made of the 1,500+ innocent civilians murdered by unmanned, armed drones in Yemen and Pakistan. Those lives are deemed to be irrelevant or "collateral damage" [military doublespeak for murder of innocent civilians].

The murder of innocent civilians by chemical weapons is a war crime, but so is the murder of innocent civilians by drones.

Actually, the U.S. DOD claims that every person killed by a drone strike was an "enemy combatant." As unbelievable as it sounds that is the assertion of the DOD.

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive."

The irony of a Noble Peace prizewinner initiating a war against a sovereign nation is not lost on the international community.

"We have met the enemy and it is US!"
