Village Ace Hardware celebrates 30 years
In 1984, Ron and Dolores Puchi opened the Village Ace Hardware and in 2014 their store is celebrating 30 years of providing the Village with not only all their hardware and gardening needs, but with community and family.
On April 5th, Village Ace Hardware threw an anniversary celebration with food, music, and fun to celebrate their inspiring success.
Michele Puchi, who works with her parents running the Village Ace Hardware, felt that the anniversary celebration was a great success because, "The celebration was very community oriented which is what is so special about having a business here in the Village. Friends and new friends joined us that day."
Puchi also stated that the best part of the celebration was, "being with my parents and sharing in the success story of owning a small business after 30 years."
Village Ace Hardware has given a lot to its community and felt the community's support in return. Luke Adams, the store's manager, attributes this success to, "being a community related business, providing good customer service, and knowing your customers."
Village Ace Hardware is known for everything from 30-year anniversary celebrations to gardening workshops. When asked why she had so many wonderful events for the community Puchi responded, "My parents have always been my inspiration on how to give back to our community. Village Ace Hardware and Garden Center, for 30 years, has made this community its priority. We believe having events helps our business community thrive and also be a place for locals to be proud of". And such sentiments are mirrored equally in the community.
Lanna Lerew, owner of Sherpa Sprint, stared that the reason she went to the 30-year anniversary celebration was, "I buy a lot of things at the Village Ace Hardware and so I went to show my support for a local business and our local business network. That's important, especially in The Village".
As the Village grows and expands, so many are optimistic about future business within the Village.
Adams simply stated that he wanted Village Ace Hardware, "to continue to grow, provide the right products, and of course always be there for the community." Puchi was openly hopeful about future business in the Village when she said, "I believe, the Village and Big Park Community, is a hidden gem in Sedona. With the businesses that have been here for many years and the new ones opening up I only see great things happening in our business community."
